Owner and creative director of JP Events & Design. I’m a published event planner & designer who resides in New Jersey and is famously known for creating timeless memories and spectacular experiences. My signature style is a fusion of elegance, sophistication, beauty, chic, glamour and romance interlaced with luxury and cutting-edge transformation. I pride myself in creating exceptional experiences, meticulous design, thoughtfully curated spaces and leaving no detail untouched. My happiest moments include being able to take a couple’s breath away with her sense of sophistication, elegance and style, and when I’m home __(catching a Netflix episode with a glass of Dom Perignon with my husband or a game of tag with my kids makes me the happiest. I’m also a wife and proud mother to three beautiful chocolate drops.

5 things to know about Johanne 

1. She is Haitian

Born and raised in Haiti, the beautiful la Perle des Antilles (The pearl of the Antilles). Haiti is a country with many hidden charms, beautiful beaches, waterfalls, and some truly interesting architecture featuring some of the most gorgeous art one has ever seen. Growing up in such a beautiful, inspiring environment was the catalyst for my love of beauty and style. “Not to mention my people are AMAZING!!! I often shares when describing the beauty and uniqueness of my country. I spent my childhood in Haiti and moved to the US with my siblings to be with my beloved parents at the age of 16 years old.

2.   Fashion is my love language

I have been in the luxury fashion industry for over 17 years and developed a keen eye for details while focusing on client relationship building, fashion styling, client services, trend analysis etc... Yes I’m fashion obsessed.  My love for fashion started at a very young age when my mother gave me the most beautiful Chanel pearl clip-on earrings that were passed down to her from my grandmother who was always exquisitely dressed and had a phenomenal fashion sense. My love for fashion only grew stronger after receiving such a timeless, classic accessory! I’ve been blessed to style celebrity clients in both the acting world and the entertainment industry. My love for fashion and styling is enormous and grew more when I started a career in luxury retail and merchandising 17 years ago. Working in the fashion industry has taught me how to pick the perfect dress to match your personal style & taste… Therefore, I’m  able to make selecting a fitting gown all the less stressful for my clients

3.  Family is First

Even though I  hold a lot of love and passion for fashion, my family is my first priority and will always be.  There is no greater love than the love for your family.  Family is the force that keeps me going whenever I feel like giving up. My  amazing, selfless husband is my rock. He desires to see me win in all aspects of life and supports my work the best he can. Seeing me doing what I love is his dream and it makes him happy knowing I’m doing all of the things I love. My family greets me with luscious kisses and hugs every morning, but also round my day out with those last goodnight kisses, leading me to another great day.

4.  Inspiration comes from literally everywhere.

I find  inspiration through all that life has to offer and creates masterpieces with all that I come across. My inspiration come from my kids, detailed architecture, art, traveling, experiencing different cultures, authentic food, my love for fashion and all things beautiful. Right now, I’m excited to encounter the next thing that will inspire my work. One thing I’ve learned and holds to be true is that passion for my craft combined with my love of creating great designs and my desire to create spectacular experiences, that, the next opportunity for innovation isn’t far behind. In order to get inspired, a lot of love and passion for what you do is required. If anyone knows this, it is ME.

5.  Wedding hold a special place in my heart. (I simply adore weddings)

Where to begin!!! I love everything related to weddings… From design to planning. Weddings are the entrance to a completely new and different life than we have ever known. It is a celebration of two people who have forged a pathway as two separate people and who chose to love from that point until forever after. From planning my friends' weddings to my clients' events, my goal is to create impeccable moments meant to leave your loved ones mesmerized by an unforgettable experience and celebration. Whatever the dream event, my team and I  are here  to make it our mission to bring your vision to life and meticulously work through every intricate detail. Planning a wedding is not an easy task, however, for me, it is my passion! My clients are guaranteed to have the wedding of their dreams and create great memories to talk about in the future for years to come. How to plan and design a wedding is not something my clients have to think much about at all. I make sure it all goes the way it is supposed to be executed, flawless.  I know how to plan & design a wedding and will make sure every single one of my clients have the opportunity to relish in the wedding they always dreamt of.

Creating timeless and spectacular experiences for my clients is something to remember for life that will be remembered for the rest of their life. My job is not just a job for me,  it is a way of showing demonstrating to people how important the finer details are and to take their breath away with every single detail. To have them understand the love I hold for my work and all of the passion I have for it . Creating an experience that brings joy to my clients and their guests.
